I broke away from beauty and cleaning 'products' of all kinds a few years back. Now all of my personal care and cleaning mixes are made. (I do plan on listing all of the recipes that work for me soon in one post.)
The challenge has been oral hygiene. I have tried many different homemade tooth powder and paste recipes only to be disappointed.
After many failed recipes, I began to look for different kinds of purchased products. Simple ones. Ones without unnecessary chemicals, fluoride or vegetable glycerin (which coats and prevents re-mineralization of the teeth).
Here's what I've been using for the past few months, and I must say, the results are surprising. Not only do my teeth and mouth feel cleaner, but my gums have never looked healthier.
Good Gums - made with herbs, this tooth powder is easy to use by pouring a small amount into your hand, and use a wet toothpaste to make a paste of sorts. Don't expect suds but do expect clean feeling teeth.
Heritage Store HPM - this hydrogen peroxide based mouthwash is the next step in my regimen. It leaves your mouth feeling very clean. I'll use this throughout the day after eating as well.
Heritage Store IPSAB - this is specifically to strengthen your gums. You know, how the gums start to sag? I've definitely noticed an improvement by using this twice a day applied with a cotton swab.
The biggest and best change I've made was to give up nylon toothbrushes and go with a polyester toothbrush. I love my new toothbrush. It's a big help to us overly-eager brushers. The bristles of Dr. Collins Perio Toothbrushes are suppose to last 50% longer and are ultra soft.
So if you're fed up with poison dental products and want to go a more natural route with amazing results, give these products a try.
