Christmas Decorating Part 2

The decorating for Christmas is finally done...and about a week later than I intended to have it all up! Superman was less than enthusiastic about this process, that's putting it mildly. I can't wait until the day we have pull down attic stairs so that I can take care of getting the Christmas stuff up and down from the attic on my own.

We cut our tree from a family owned Christmas Tree Farm just about a mile from our house. This was not my first choice for farms because they do not shape or weed their trees. Many of the trees had bittersweet growing up inside them. We walked around for a while looking for the 'perfect' tree. I came to the realization this year, that all Christmas trees are perfect once you get the decorations on them. Our truck is out of commission for a while, so we put the tree in the trunk of Superman's car with the trunk open and drove real slow.

The trees are all up and the December calendar seems to be flying! Now come the Christmas cards. I've always made our own and the years we haven't sent any are because I never got around to making them!

Below are the photos of our trees. Enjoy the day - Wonderwoman
Superman and the cut tree.
The living room or formal tree.

The tree for miniature ornaments.

The school room tree.

The fruit and vegetable tree.

  1. i think it's so cool you have 3 trees. Mine looks awfully skimpy this year with the 2 year old terror running about but hopefully next year will be back on track!

  4. I used to love to go and cut down a real tree. Not any tree farms where we live...so FAKE it is.

    Blessings to you!

  5. I LOVE that you went out and cut down your tree. We used to do that - - - dragging several small children with us. It was such a fun adventure.

Then we moved and could no longer FIND a tree farm, so we "graduated" to going to a tree lot - - - now with 4 children in tow.

Now I've given in to "ease" and have hubby put up the old artificial and I decorate it.

I especially loved your first tree picture.

Thanks for opening your home to us for this tour.

    Merry Christmas
